The senior cost consultant manager will oversee specific projects beginning at the program analysis/conceptual design level through the entire design process up to and including the bidding period. This person will serve as the primary contact between the estimating team and the owner/client, communicating all cost estimates, attending design meetings, and assisting in the development of value engineering costs and design alternates. The manager will be responsible for assigning specific tasks to the cost estimators in regard to a specific area of take-off in the site/civil, architectural, structural, electrical, HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and low voltage trades. The manager will review all take-off quantities for accuracy as well as the unit costs and other projects costs that are created in the estimating software utilized by the company and create the final report including front-end project description, basis of costs, market conditions report, and final cost summary for delivery to the owner/client. In addition, the senior cost consultant manager will be responsible for the training and support of new employees for On Screen Take-Off (OST), Interactive Cost Estimating (ICE) software, and Microsoft Project, as well as other company standards and practices. The senior cost consultant will work directly with the managing principal in the office and assist in the implementation of project schedules, strategies, and employee performance reports.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying and construction management, or the foreign equivalent. Minimum of one year of experience in the position offered or one year of experience as a Construction Cost Estimator. Prior experience must include experience performing cost estimating utilizing OST, ICE, and Microsoft Project software on projects ranging in $500,000 to $100,000,000+ in the higher education, healthcare, and municipal markets.

40 hrs./wk. at the Rosemont, IL location; 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. $ 65,000- $75,000 /year
