This project included interior renovations to student rooms, offices, common areas, and student bathrooms to meet privacy needs and comply with ADA requirements, as well as exterior renovations to enhance the building envelope’s thermal performance, including the replacement of exterior windows. Also included in the scope is an addition and renovation to the existing dining facility, designed to feature nine micro-restaurants offering a wide range of cuisines. This addition provides additional space for meetings, group study, recreation, and library use. Upgrades to the building’s MEP infrastructure included replacing multiple AHUs and removing and replacing the entire ductwork distribution in both buildings. All existing hydronic, steam, and condensate piping was removed and replaced with a new hydronic system, including heat exchangers, pumps, and distribution for chilled water and heating hot water pipes. Pneumatic controls were removed entirely, and a new DDC control system was installed for integration into the existing campus-wide system.
